PLAN OF SERVICES AT WEST KIRBY

Copies of the plan of services to be held at West Kirby over the next three months are also available from the foyer.

FRIDAY COFFEE MORNING ROTA

Please sign the sheet in the foyer if you can help serve coffee and wash up on a Friday morning during the next three months.

JUNE – BIBLE  MONTH STUDIES

A reminder that Bible Month Studies in Colossians began on Tuesday, 4th June at The Circuit Centre, Thingwall at 7 p.m. and are being led by Peter Colyer. The remaining three sessions are 11th, 18th & 25th June.

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP AT THINGWALL

The next service will be on Wednesday, 12th June at 1 p.m. when Viv Gasteen will be leading a communion service.

LEGO CHURCH

The next session is on Wednesday, 12th June.  Doors open from 3.30 p.m. until 5 p.m.  Please say a prayer for this new initiative, that we have fun and spread kindness and good news.

If anyone has any unwanted Lego hidden in a loft or the like and would like to donate this to our new Lego Church initiative, please can you let Dirk know asap on 625 3224 or 07847 739 533.  He will gladly collect it from your house, however small or large.  The first Lego session attracted 22 children plus 18 adults, including helpers. 

SINGING CAFÉ

 The next Singing Café at St. Luke’s, Hoylake is from 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, 13th June.  All welcome.

THURSDAY AFTERNOON FELLOWSHIP

Members will be enjoying tea and cakes at Church on 13th June at 2.30 p.m.

MUSICAL GEMS

The Oldershaw Singers and Friends are holding a concert in support of Claire House at 7.30 p.m. on Thursday, 13th June at St. Andrew’s Church, Rowson Street, New Brighton.  Tickets £6.    

SONGS OF PRAISE

The morning service on 16th June will be a Songs of Praise Service.  Have you a favourite hymn plus a story to go with it?  If so, we’d love to receive your contribution to this service.  If you are happy to tell the story yourself that will be great, but don’t be put off – if you would rather not, then someone will read your contribution for you.  Please let Catherine Jackson or Graham Gladden know ASAP.

HOPE JOURNEY

The next Hope Journey will be on Monday, 17th June when the theme will be “Explore”.

Thanks to everybody who has responded so far.  We still need a few more helpers so if you can do this please see Sue Gladden after the service.

THURSDAY BIBLE STUDY GROUP

The next meeting is on 20th June 10 a.m. for 10.15 a.m.   The Group will be studying Philippians 4: 9-23 – Joyful living and giving.  Rev Alan Fisher will be leading the session.

ADVANCE NOTICE - STRAWBERRY TEA

Elaine Phillips will be hosting a Strawberry Tea at 13 Burlingham Avenue, West Kirby on Saturday, 6th July from 2.30 p.m.   Tickets £5 (available next week).  Proceeds will be for MWiB’s current Special Project which is run by Barnabas Aid supporting widows and children of men who have suffered violent deaths in the recent conflicts in Aleppo, Syria. 

SAVE THE DATE

The Circuit Thanksgiving Service for the ministries of the ordained ministers and lay staff leaving the Circuit will be held on Saturday, 20th July at 6 p.m. at Moreton Methodist Church.  This will be followed by a bring and share meal.  All are welcome.
