GROUP SCOUT CAROL SERVICE

This year the service is on Friday, 14th December at 7 p.m.  Please come and support them, we always need a good congregation to lead the carols.  Thanks.

ANGEL CRAFT MORING

COMMUNITY CAROL SINGING

You are invited to join with St. Bridget’s Music Group to sing Christmas Carols at the Ring O’ Bells on Saturday, 22nd December beginning at 11 a.m.  All welcome.  Free mince pies and coffee.

ACTION FOR CHILDREN

As in previous years, Christmas is the time we focus on the fund-raising for this charity that has been partnered with the Methodist Church since 1969.  A large Communal Christmas Card is in the foyer for the congregation to send Christmas wishes to each other.

ONATIONS TO WIRRAL FOODBANK

All donations placed in the boxes in the foyer now go to the Wirral Foodbank.  However, we will have to bag up our donations and take them either to Wirral Foodbank, Unit 14, Wirral Business Centre, Dock Road, Birkenhead, CH41 1JW or they may be dropped off at Tesco Heswall or Sainsburys Upton.

I am sure there are members of the congregation who shop in one or other of these supermarkets and could do their bit to help when they see the boxes are full, by filling up some bags and take them to the collection boxes in one of these supermarkets. With Christmas fast approaching donations need to be received by midday on Thursday, 20th December.

REVISED JOB OPPORTUNITY

The Church has been advertising for a member to act as Secretary for the Gift Aid & Weekly Envelope Schemes.  We are now fortunate in that a member has volunteered to deal with the computer aspects of the job.  This means that the job of Secretary is “doable” by an individual with little or even no specialist technical skills.  Elizabeth (0151 625 6018) would be pleased to discuss the job description with anyone who would like further details.  A volunteer is needed from 1st January 2019.

SCOUT POST STAMPS

Stamps are available from John Turner. The last date for posting will be 12 noon on Wednesday, 12th December.

PLEASE NOTE

Until further notice items for inclusion in the weekly notices should be sent by email only to the Editor, Elaine Phillips, at elaine5649.ep@gmail.com by 11.59 p.m. on the Tuesday preceding the Sunday of publication.
