Mike Price and his sons Neil and Simon would like to thank everyone for the cards, letters, prayers and support they have received following Jill’s death. They would also like to thank everyone involved in preparing the refreshments following Jill’s funeral.

 CIRCUIT PRAYER DIARY

Copies of the Prayer Diary for May are now available.  Please pick up a copy from the foyer.

THE BEACON

Pick up your copy of the latest edition of The Beacon from the foyer and take one for anyone who may be interested.  Would Pastoral Visitors please pick up copies for anyone on their list who is not able to get to church.

WOMEN’S FELLOWSHIP

The next meeting is on Thursday, 9th May at 2.30 p.m. in the Hilda Shore Room when Mike Hall will be sharing with the meeting his enjoyment of photography.

CHARITY FASHION SHOW

Greasby Methodist Church are holding an M&Co charity fashion show on Saturday, 11th May.  Doors open at 6.30 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start. Entrance will be £5 to include refreshments.  There will also be a raffle and cake stall.  Funds raised will go to the MWiB special project run by Barnabas Fund supporting widows and children in Syria.

CIRCUIT EASTER OFFERING SERVICE

A service to dedicate the Easter Offering will be held at 6.30 p.m. on Sunday, 12th May at Moreton Methodist Church.  As this is a Circuit Service there will be no evening service here.  Everyone is encouraged to attend.

MEN’S COFFEE MORNING

The last coffee morning before the summer break is on Monday, 13th May from 10.30 a.m. in the Hilda Shore Room.  All welcome.

SPECTRUM

The next meeting is on Monday, 13th May at 7.30 p.m. in the Hilda Shore Room.  This will be a games evening so if anyone has a suitable game please bring it along.

CHRISTIAN AID WEEK

Christian Aid Week begins on 12th May.  Envelopes will be available on that date.  In addition the proceeds from the Coffee Morning on Friday, 17th May will be for Christian Aid.  There will be a cake stall so all donations will be gratefully received.

SUPPORT FOR ASYLUM SEEKERS

A church based group to support asylum seekers and refugees is starting at the Link Emmanuel in Birkenhead.  It is an informal setting to help those in need of English speaking experiences and will be held on Thursdays between 3.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m.  If you are interested in knowing more please contact Howie Aziz at Howie.aziz@hotmail.co.uk

 LEGO CHURCH

Lego Church will be starting here on Wednesday, 8th May from 3.30 p.m. until 5 p.m.  Please take some flyers for friends or family who have children in primary school age range.  (Younger children can play with Duplo or Mega Bricks).  Please pray for the success of this new venture and that lots of people will come to join in the fun.  Phone Dirk for more information on 625 3224 or 07847 739 533.
