This year’s Christmas Fair will be held on Saturday, 1st December from 10.30 a.m. until 2 p.m.  Coffee/tea and mince pies will be available plus soup and bread at lunchtime.  Stalls will include, cakes & preserves, toiletries, jewellery, crafts, toys & games, bottle tombola, charity Christmas cards and bric-a-brac (good qualify items only please!!)

Contributions for the various stalls may be left in the Vestry.

With the sad demise of the Westbourne Singers Christmas Concert, a new event will be staged in church on Saturday, 8th December at 7.30 p.m.  It will be an eclectic mix of performers and a very varied programme.  Please see the posters, the foyer screen and the church website for more details – there’s not enough room here to include the full cast list!  Tickets costing £5 (£1 for children) are available from Graham Gladden and David Cross or pay on the door. There will be refreshments. The proceeds will be divided between local charities and the church.  Please support this new venture and bring your friends.

This is a social group with centres across Cheshire East & West specifically for people with dementia and other age related conditions. A new centre has recently opened at Hoylebank, Darmonds Green which is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Always Active will provide a fun filled day of entertainment and a two course lunch.  For further details contact Louise Gornall on 01244 639114 or 07753731931 or email her on lougornall@gmail.com

The Church is looking for a member to act as Secretary for the Gift Aid and weekly envelopes distribution.  This position needs to be filled as soon as possible.  Please speak to Elizabeth if you would like to know more. CHURCH LIGHTING

We have a beautiful church with amazing stained glass windows.  All of this is hidden from the “passing trade!”  The last Church Council agreed a proposal from COG that we should use the church lighting for a few hours each evening to display the windows and to enhance the view through the pavement window.  The lighting is low wattage LED so little electricity will be consumed.

An Advent Calendar for November has been produced with a list of 30 different items people could collect during the month and put in their own collection box. Copies are available on the table in the foyer.

Volunteers are needed to help label the Angels between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, 21st November at the Circuit office.

If anyone has knitted Christmas Angels can they please hand them to me before 21st November so that they can be taken to the Circuit Office to be labelled before they are distributed around the Wirral.

Dirk is proposing to circulate a regular email  with “News from WKMC” to all those in the congregation who have passed on their email addresses.  If you DO NOT wish to receive such emails please contact Dirk on dirkwkmc@gmail.com or Elaine Phillips on elaine5649.ep@gmail.com  and your email address will be removed from the proposed circulation list.
