Church Family News

It is with sadness we share the news of the passing of Lena Williams who was a very well loved church member.  Her death was not Covid-19 related and she died peacefully at Lear House on Friday, 22nd May.  Lena's funeral takes place at Landican at 10.30 a.m. on Thursday, 11th June.  This will be a family service conducted by Rev. George Palmer.  Even though we cannot attend the funeral we can think about and pray for Lena on the 11th June.

Sheila Parrish is now recovering at home following a short time in hospital after she fell at home.

Yangsun will host a virtual Friday Coffee Morning via Zoom at 10.15 a.m. each Friday during the lockdown.  If you wish to join the "conversation"  open Zoom and enter ID 933 9364 9803 followed by password 001122.

Everyone is reminded that during the lockdown NO-ONE is permitted to enter the church premises unless authorised.  The church is grateful to Nadia, our Caretaker, who is authorised the check the church premises each week.  She has also been watering the planters at the front of the church but unfortunately they are beginning to look a bit neglected as those who usually look after them cannot get to church at the moment.  Graham Gladden is also authorised to check on the organ regularly.

The church's ladies group have been keeping in touch with each other by phone, email and whatsapp.  They have been exchanging news and ideas on how to keep busy whilst at home.  There has been a lot of knitting - hats, mittens, dolls clothes - all for the Christmas Shoe Boxes and well as crafting and tidying up gardens.
