Christmas at West Kirby Methodist Church

Christmas comes but once a year bringing … bringing … hope …joy … peace and the celebration of a very special birth – or will we be worrying about eating too much and wondering what to do about presents.

We hope you’ll join us as, throughout the Christmas season,
we explore the true meaning of Christmas.

Advent (the church’s run up to Christmas) starts on December
2nd at 09.00am with Bacon Butty church, an informal service for
everyone after a light breakfast (vegetarian option is available).

Our regular Sunday services are at 10.30am; on December 16th,
“Oh, what a night!” will take a non-traditional look at the events of Christmas. We have a children’s area in the church so all are welcome.

The church will be decorated for Carols by Candlelight at 6.30pm on December 23rd with a chance to sing the traditional carols
and to hear the Christmas story told by of the people who were there.

Our journey to Christmas culminates with Christmas Eve
communion at 4.00pm on December 24th and a family service at 10.30am on Christmas Day.

Be sure the wise men won’t be forgotten – we have a special
service of readings and carols on Epiphany Sunday (10.30am on January 6th).
